Liang LiAssociate Professor, Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China Title of the talkFirst Commercial Dual MeV Energy X-ray CT for Container Inspection: System, Algorithm and Results Abstractabstract_Liang_LiShort BiographyLiang Li is an associate professor of Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Dr. Li and his team conduct research on the physical and mathematical problems of X-ray imaging, and the translation of basic research results to meet the urgent security and biomedical needs. He developed the world’s first commercial 9/6 MeV dual-energy X-ray CT system for container inspection. In recent years, he and his team have made contributions on developing new techniques to improve sensitivity and specificity of multi-modality X-ray imaging, e.g., traditional X-ray transmission CT, spectral CT, X-ray fluorescence CT, phase-contrast CT, etc. Dr. Li is the Lead Guest Editor for two Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine Special Issues, Guest Associate Editor of Frontiers in Physics, Board Member of Chinese Journal of Stereology and Image Analysis. He is IEEE Senior Member, and Vice-chair of Intelligent imaging, Chinese Society for Stereology.
